 Hotel Hacienda Puerta Del Sol is 3.5 miles away from Fuengirola beach and 1.5 miles away from the village of Mijas. Every day, a courtesy bus runs between the hotel, Fuengirola and Mijas.
Fuengirola is a major tourism resort with more than 8 km of beaches. It features a marina where various water sports can be practiced. Along the coasts, guests can stop in one of many bars and cafes or climb up to the Moorish castle.
Every Tuesday, there is a market at Fuengirola. It is Costa del Sol's most popular market.

 Fuengirola also features many seafood restaurants where freshly caught fishes can be sampled. There is a zoo and a water park for the youngest. At night, there is a choice of bars and restaurants to suit every tastes.
Mijas is divided into two areas: Mijas Pueblo and Mijas Costa. Mijas Pueblo features an old Spain ambience. Mijas Costa is the coastal resort down the mountains.
There are free Mijas guided tours in summer on Saturdays.
